Children with unique abilities may have different needs when it comes to their education. We believe they deserve an opportunity to learn in an environment that supports their success. The Family Empowerment Scholarship for Students with Unique Abilities (FES-UA) enables families to personalize the education of their students by directing funds to where they’re needed most. The funds can be used for a combination of programs and approved expenses including therapists, specialists, curriculum, private school, a college savings account and more.
Step Up For Students supports students and families in building a stronger future through an education that fits their needs. Our scholarships open doors with tuition, transportation, and educational resources. Find out more about how our programs can make a difference for you.
Child Centered Learning
Child-centered learning is an educational approach that prioritizes the needs, interests, and abilities of each individual student. This method focuses on creating a personalized learning experience, allowing children to explore and engage with subjects at their own pace and in ways that resonate with them. By emphasizing active participation and hands-on activities, child-centered learning fosters a deeper understanding and a love for learning.
Positive Reinforcement
Positive reinforcement is essential for enhancing a child's learning as it encourages desired behaviors by rewarding them, making those behaviors more likely to be repeated. This approach helps build a positive and motivating environment, fostering confidence and a sense of achievement in children. By consistently reinforcing positive actions, children develop better coping skills, improved social interactions, and a stronger foundation for academic success.
Collaborative Partnerships
Collaborative partnerships between educators, therapists and parents are vital for a child's academic and personal growth, ensuring a consistent and supportive learning environment. These partnerships foster open communication, allowing for the sharing of insights and strategies that address the child's unique needs. By working together, educators, therapists and parents can create a cohesive plan that enhances the child's educational experience and overall development.

"I’m so excited that soon we're going to have a school with Prevail ABA. I have 2 children that benefit from the work that Prevail ABA is doing. I’m so happy with the staff members and the experience that I am having. I cannot recommend this organization enough, they are the best!"

"My son was 4 years old when he started at prevail and his communication was not understood by anyone but me. But now he can communicate his needs with a full sentence! It's hard to find people who actually care about your child and are not in it for the money. All the staff is amazing and genuinely care about each of the kids. I genuinely couldn't do it without their support and help."

"Prevail has been the single most important tool for our journey with Autism. The relationship we have built has been based off of trust first, compassion and communication. Over the past two years they have become part of our family. At a time where I didn’t know where to turn, Vanessa and Prevail gave us hope and confidence in uncharted territory for our family. We are so thankful!"
